The needs

Every year, thousands of French-speaking immigrants choose the Greater Toronto Area as their home. Their needs in terms of settling in and integrating are tremendous:

  • Housing
  • Employment
  • Integration into educational institutions
  • Contact with the host community
Our services

In collaboration with partners, the CFGT offers a wide range of services aimed primarily at welcoming and facilitating the integration of newly arrived Francophones in the Greater Toronto Area by providing them with information and directing them to resources that meet their needs. These services include:

  • Pre-arrival services: virtual information and orientation sessions, referral and support for permanent residents who have received their confirmation of permanent residence (CRP/COPR) and are preparing to arrive in Canada within the next six months, for the province of Ontario in the areas of settlement, employment and RTCE.
  • Greeting services: From arrival at Toronto Pearson Airport Terminals 1 and 3 for French speakers, non-English speakers and English speakers
  • Services for newcomers to the Toronto and Peel region:
    • Settlement and orientation services
    • Francophone School Integration Program (PIDEF)
    • Community connections
    • Professional mentoring program Experica 3.0
    • Entrepreneurship program — Cuisinepreneur in Toronto

A new office
in the heart of
Brampton

The Centre francophone du Grand Toronto has opened a new service point in Brampton, at 60 Queen Street East. This new office provides local access to essential services—employment, housing, legal assistance, and support for newly arrived individuals—for the Francophone population of the Peel region.
