The Needs

CFGT Employment Services facilitate the professional integration of Francophones and promote the inclusion of newcomers to the Greater Toronto Area.

Through personalized support, individual and group counselling, interactive workshops and targeted programs, we help professionals seeking new opportunities to build a solid career plan and meet their specific needs—all in French!

Our services

The employment service offers support to meet the needs of job seekers and employers, including:

  • Job search assistance:
    • Individual and group sessions with the advisory team
    • Free workshops and webinars that strengthen the employability and economic and cultural integration of newly arrived French speakers
    • Meetings with employers at bilingual job fairs or recruitment sessions
    • Referral of suitable candidates to recruiters
    • Financial assistance programs for training and hiring
    • Summer program for young people aged 14–18
    • Employment access program for young people aged 19–29
    • Support for second career and certified training programs
    • Access to our online job board and resources
  • Training and mentoring programs:
    • Expérica program
    • Customer service training program
    • Mentoring program for newcomers
    • Professional Advancement Program, a mentoring program for young black people under 35
  • Volunteer program that places our clients at the heart of a large professional network
  • Access to a job platform with over 800 users and a wealth of resources and job opportunities
  • Annual job fair that attracts over 500 job seekers and countless employers from a variety of industries
  • Entrepreneurship program Cuisinepreneur (IRCC)

The 2024
Job Fair

The Greater Toronto Francophone Centre’s Job Fair is one of the most engaging events for the Francophone community. Held annually, it connects local talent with employers committed to inclusion and diversity.

In 2024, more than 580 participants took part in the Fair, accompanied by 20+ employers from a variety of sectors. The event is part of a comprehensive approach led by the employment service, which also reached more than 1,300 people through webinars, workshops and information sessions. With more than 1,250 registrations this year, the Fair reaffirms its essential role: to create concrete opportunities, strengthen employability and contribute to the sustainable integration of Francophones into the workforce.
