“My counsellor is someone I trust and can turn to when I need to. It’s important to know that you’re not alone in these difficult times. The CFGT provides support in all areas of life. It’s a real strength to have an organization like this at our side.”

“I arrived in Toronto in December 2007. I underwent the medical exams normally recommended by Immigration Canada and tested positive for HIV. Thanks to the CFGT, I have been able to accept my status, I take my medication regularly, I have an apartment, I have received food assistance, and I don’t feel alone.”

Community
Health Month

In October 2024, as part of Community Health Month organized by the Alliance for Healthier Communities under the theme “The Future Is Community: Primary Health Care as the Foundation of the Health Care System,” the Centre francophone du Grand Toronto took part in this provincial initiative with pride and commitment.

The Centre launched a major online campaign to raise awareness about the importance of accessible, inclusive and equitable primary health care. Community workshops, awareness activities and recognition events were organized to highlight the exceptional work of the Centre’s health and mental health teams. This active participation helped strengthen ties with the community and highlight the essential role of local community services in improving the health and well-being of all.
